To develop even more efficient and powerful wind turbines, our client is now looking for dedicated new staff to join its gearbox development team in the Ruhr area. Your tasks an responsibilities:
- Development and optimization of calculation methods and (parametric) simulation models for gearboxes and their components to improve system understanding regarding the drive train
- Evaluation of gears, bearings, structural components, and bolted connections by means of FEM simulation
- Defining innovative development approaches and managing corresponding projects
- Continuous exchange with certification bodies to ensure the conformity of newly developed methods
- Carrying out material tests and damage analyses regarding fatigue strength
- Intensive cooperation with internal and external partners worldwide
Your profile:
- Completed university studies in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on simulation, mechanics and materials
- Several years of professional experience in gear and drive technology, preferably in wind or industrial application
- Expert knowledge of the relevant materials technology for gearbox and component development
- Good knowledge of static and fatigue strength assessment
- Knowledge of relevant standards and certification requirements
- Goal-oriented, self-organized and with high innovative strength
- Intercultural competence and fluency in written and spoken English
