To develop even more efficient and powerful wind turbines, our client is now looking for dedicated new staff to join its gearbox development team in the Ruhr area. Your tasks an responsibilities:
- You will drive technical innovation in the field of plain bearings to develop the technology of tomorrow
- You will support in the development and validation of improved and new plain bearing technologies as well as their use in novel drivetrain concepts, especially regarding main bearing and transmission
- Carrying out simulations and evaluating concepts using test results
- Internal and external experts worldwide will closely cooperate with you to successfully accomplish this challenge
- Promote and continuously improve products based on validation and field experience
- Investigation and evaluation of alternative technologies
Your profile:
- Completed university studies in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
- Several years of industrial experience in design and calculation of plain bearings for applications such as large gearboxes, large engines, and turbines
- Sound knowledge of failure analysis, lubrication concepts and materials
- In-depth understanding of tribology
- Confident use of simulation and calculation programs such as COMBROS, ALP3T and AVL EXCITE
- Experience in cross-site and cross-functional collaboration
- Goal-oriented, self-organized and self-motivated
- Intercultural competence and fluency in written and spoken English
