A sustainable future through the worldwide availability of clean, safe, and affordable energy – with this goal in mind, our client develops intelligent solutions for the generation, storage and distribution of renewable energy in its global innovation centers in Europe, North America and Asia. To develop even more efficient and powerful wind turbines, our client is now looking for dedicated new staff to join its gearbox development team in the Ruhr area. Your tasks an responsibilities:
- You will develop and design tomorrow’s generation of highly integrated modular drivetrain solutions and will create the corresponding simulation models
- You will apply your expertise to define the requirements as well as the conceptual design of all relevant components to operate the wind turbine at the best possible operating point
- Reviewing the results, you will continuously strive to improve the simulation methods
- Internal and external experts worldwide will closely cooperate with you to successfully accomplish this challenge
Your profile:
- University degree in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
- In-depth knowledge of wind turbine drivetrains (rotor main bearings, main shaft, gearbox, coupling, generator)
- Experience in modular product configuration and passionate about innovation
- Knowledge of different gearbox constellations and reliable user knowledge of the relevant software
- Familiar with the relevant standards and certification requirements
- Experienced in cross-site and cross-functional collaboration
- Goal-oriented, self-organized and motivated to invent the technology of tomorrow
- Intercultural competence and fluency in written and spoken English
